What ‘Considered’ Actually Means to Us

May 28, 2026 · 1 min read

We use the word “considered” a lot, and it’s worth being specific about what it actually means when we’re deciding whether to make something.

It means fewer SKUs than most retailers our size — we’d rather carry one excellent cutting board than five mediocre ones. It means every product goes through at least one full season of internal use before it ships, not just a lab test. And it means we’re willing to sell out of something and wait for the next production run rather than rush a lesser version to keep shelves full.

None of this makes us the fastest-growing store in the category. We’re fine with that trade.
