Every mug we sell is thrown individually, which means no two runs come out quite the same — and that’s the point, not a defect to correct for.
We work with a small studio that fires in batches of around 200. The glaze is a single warm speckled finish, applied by hand, which means the exact speckle pattern varies mug to mug in a way a factory glaze spray never would.
It also means lead times are longer than we’d like sometimes. We’ve made peace with that trade — it’s the same reason the mugs feel worth keeping years later.
