At least six separate hiking parties, unconnected to each other, have reported hearing their own name called from off-trail at the same bend on Overlook Trail, roughly two miles in. In each case, the caller checked and found no one nearby.
We haven’t been able to record the phenomenon directly despite three overnight equipment placements at the location. It remains logged based on the consistency and specificity of independent witness reports rather than instrumented evidence.
